He held many senior positions throughout the contact lens industry before starting his own company. Erik was first elected to the EFCLIN Board in 2005. |
Mireille Nauwelaert – Treasurer
| Email: mireille@efclin.com Mireille is the owner and Managing Director of Fabrilens in Belgium, a company that she joined in 1999 as General Manager. With a lens making history going back to 1968 Fabrilens has been an EFCLIN member since 2000. Mireille was a member of the Audit Committee for EFCLIN from 2005 before becoming elected to the EFCLIN board in 2011. |  |
Rafel Martinez
| Rafa has worked in the contact lens industry since 1986. He has represented both Smith & Nephew and Gfeller of Switzerland before becoming Director of Sales for Europe with Paragon Vision Sciences. |  |
Marcel Kopito – Board Member
| Email: marcel@efclin.com Marcel is a graduate in electrical engineering from the RWTH University in Aachen, Germany. Before joining Polymer Technology-Bausch+Lomb he held senior positions with ABB-Brown&Boveri as project manager for high voltage distribution stations in Southern Iran and director global business for transmission cables and copper/aluminium products for Felten& Guillaume a Philips company. – Since 1986 he has developed the Boston material and solutions business in the EMEA regions as Regional Manager. |  |
Martijn van der Linden – Secretary

Email: martijn@efclin.com Martijn is a graduate in mechanical engineering from the Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands. In 2003 he joined the R&D department of NKL Contactlenzen in the Netherlands where he worked on the development of lens fitting software. More recently his work has focused on the development and implementation of new production methods. |
David Walker – Board Member
| Email: david@efclin.com David has been in the contact lens industry since 1972. His experience includes roles with Smith & Nephew, Hydron and Vista Optics Ltd. David owned and ran Vista Optics Ltd from 1979 until 2010 when it was sold to mark ’ennovy. He now works in a part time consultancy role for mark ’ennovy. His is a past Secretary and President of EFCLIN and is a member of the Euromcontact Regulatory Affairs Working Group. |  |
